Meredith will explain the importance of international collaboration to protect the breeding grounds, wintering locations, and migratory stopover sites of these long-distance athletes, many of which are in serious decline. She will describe how WHSRN facilitates this, and some of the interesting differences in perspectives and approaches among the various countries involved.</span></font></p><p style="widows: 1;"><font color="#333333" face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Bitstream Charter, Times, serif" size="3"><span style="line-height: 24px;">Meredith holds a B.S. in International Environmental Studies from Rutgers University's Douglass College and a Master's of Environmental Management in Resource Ecology (Conservation Biology track) from Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment.</span></font></p><p style="widows: 1;"><font color="#333333" face="Georgia, Times New Roman, Bitstream Charter, Times, serif" size="3"><span style="line-height: 24px;">Prior to joining Manomet in 2007, Meredith worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Division of Bird Habitat Conservation in Arlington, Virginia.
