Every other Saturday for nine weeks, we will have guests speaking about new technologies, perspectives and efforts in the conservation of coastal waters, wildlife and habitat.</div><div><br></div><div>At our 6th event, on April 2, we will feature the work, research, thoughts, internships and projects of young adults in high school or college in ten-minute presentations. (Younger students may speak, too, if desired). For instance, a student could describe a senior project doing research on aquaculture or lessons learned during a summer internship on a whale watch boat.</div><div><br></div><div>This is an opportunity for students to speak in front of a friendly and interested audience. For the audience, it is a chance to be inspired by the dedication and efforts of young people and to learn about lesser known conservation-related projects and perspectives. We will have five talks of 10 minutes length followed by a question and answer session.</div><div><br></div><div>Requests to participate should be sent to me, Dorie Stolley, at <a href="mailto:dss@goldenrod.org">dss@goldenrod.org</a> and will be considered as they are received. Requests should include:</div><div><ul><li>Student’s name and email address</li><li>Title of presentation</li><li>A paragraph-long description of topic</li><li>*If student is under 18 years of age, include a parent’s, teacher’s or guardian’s name and email address (All communications will be cc’ed to them)</li></ul></div><div>More information about the series here: <a href="http://www.goldenrod.org/blog/making-waves-2016">http://www.goldenrod.org/blog/making-waves-2016</a></div><div><br></div><div>And, about the student presentations: <a href="http://www.goldenrod.org/blog/events/making-waves-students">http://www.goldenrod.org/blog/events/making-waves-students</a></div><div><br></div><div apple-content-edited="true">
