The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents
Outermost House Writer & Filmmaker
BREWSTER, MA The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster
presents a special rough-cut screening of footage from the "Henry
Beston's Cape Cod" documentary film project by writer and filmmaker,
Don Wilding of the Henry Beston Society Saturday, November 7, 2015 at
1pm.

The film, now in production, is an international story. Before
writing his Cape Cod nature classic, "The Outermost House,"
Henry Beston survived the horrors of World War I, serving as an ambulance
driver for the American Field Service on the front lines of the Battle of
Verdun. It's also a Cape Cod story about a son of Massachusetts who,
after his experience in the war, retreated to Cape Cod and wrote his
nature classic while tapping into the healing power of nature on the
Outer Beach. Years later, "The Outermost House" was cited by
the National Park Service as to why the Outer Beach should be preserved.
The film features re-enactment scenes, with Cape Cod actor Chris Kolb as
Henry Beston, along with breath-taking scenic footage of Cape Cod and
historic photographs from the archives of the Henry Beston Society.
