BREWSTER, MA As part of our “Gardening for Life “ series the Cape Cod
Museum of Natural History presents Autumn in the Garden with
horticulturist and educator, Russell Norton Saturday, September 19, 2015
at 11am.

The end of the summer marks a change in the garden. The hot weather is
over and cool days make it great for working in the yard. This
presentation will cover what we should be doing, besides raking leaves,
with our lawns, vegetable and flower gardens, and our woody plants. We
will talk about how to wrap up the season and prepare for winter; from
harvesting pumpkins to planting tulips.
Russell Norton is an Extension Educator for the Cape Cod Cooperative
Extension Agriculture and Horticulture Program and the UMass Extension
Landscape, Nursery, and Urban Forestry Program. Russell provides
technical expertise to agriculture and horticulture professionals and to
the general public. He has extensive knowledge of both ornamental and
food crops with a primary focus in Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
