BREWSTER, MA  Naturescape Gallery at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural

History is proud to present Spotter Pilot &amp; Photographer Wayne Davis

<b>September 1 ~ October 31, 2015. <br>

</b>&nbsp;<br>

Wayne is a 3rd generation Point Judith, RI fisherman who had earned his

living as a three season deckhand for nearly three decades aboard Pt.

Jude draggers from the mid-60s through mid-90s, and a summertime fish

spotter since '73, finding swordfish &amp; tuna for New England's

commercial harpooners<br>

Now, after 40+ seasons of fish spotting, Wayne has chosen to give fishing

a break, and assist in finding Great White sharks in a scientific venture

with The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy in conjunction with Greg Skomal

of the Massachusetts Shark Research Program (MSRP).&nbsp; Together their

groundbreaking population study of Cape Cod's Great White Sharks had a

great start in 2014 to a five year study by getting a positive ID on 68

newly identified Great Whites. This was accomplished along the southern

half of Cape Cod's eastern shore. Over the years, Wayne has developed a

passion for capturing and sharing photographic images of marine life in

our New England waters and will be exhibiting his stunning and unique

photographs for 2 months in our Naturescape Gallery.<br>
