We ask for many volunteers whether able to identify butterflies or just to spot them for the more experienced. It is a great learning experience and in succeeding years each participant becomes more useful! (and we hope more addicted to this new outdoor sport or passion). We meet at 9 am,, set off in teams to several sites, visit the most popular habitats, enjoy a full day outdoors, and regroup at 1 or 2 pm to report. We carpool to several sites; there is not a huge amount of walking.

Participants should bring water, sunhat, sandwich, and binoculars.
