the launch of our new, comprehensive field-to-classroom Ocean Scientist Program. The OS Program integrates the invaluable
hands-on learning environment of the oceanographic cruise and lab session with
follow-up web-based classroom activities for your school. It is designed with a clear set of NGSS-aligned tasks for students to bring what they’ve learned in the field, back into the classroom. </font></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; "><br></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; ">Students collect data themselves using their own smart-phone or iPads equipped with our downloaded app (a limited number of devices are available from Zephyr upon request.) Students make water quality measurements and then venture into WHOI’s working seawater lab where they record observations of marine animals. </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; "><br></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; ">Following the field trip, teachers and students will have access to
continued learning with students' own data (and thse collected by other classes) using the Discovery Hub and a
standards-aligned curriculum. The curriculum is designed to integrate the
