<i>Great White Shark Research Fundraiser<br>

</b>BREWSTER, MA The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in
Brewster, MA will be hosting Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Shark
Research Program on <b>Thursday, January 22 at 6:30 pm. <br>
</b> <br>
Dr. Skomal is an accomplished marine biologist and charismatic speaker
who has been a senior fisheries biologist with Massachusetts Marine
Fisheries since 1987, and currently heads up the Massachusetts Shark
Research Program. He has written dozens of scientific research papers and
has appeared in a number of film and television documentaries for
National Geographic, Discovery Channel and ESPN.<br>
<br>
Dr. Skomal has been heading up the scientific research on the white
sharks off the coast of Cape Cod for the last 6 years, and he will be
presenting his latest findings of his <i>first of its kind</i> population
study of great white sharks in the Western North Atlantic. Over 60 Great
Whites off the coast of Cape Cod were identified and cataloged this
season, and 18 were tagged.<br>
<br>
This presentation will be held at the Museum on Thursday, January
22<sup>nd</sup> from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, doors will open for wine and
cheese at 6 pm.<br>
<br>
<b>The presentation will be $20 per person</b>. All proceeds will
benefit the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and the Cape Cod Museum of
Natural History. Reservations are required; please call the Museum at
