The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History welcomes archaeologist,

“We have identified several small artifact concentrations that appear
to be attributable to the Small Stemmed and Atlantic Traditions of the
Transitional Archaic period. We also found one more post hole for what
appears to be a possible Late to Transitional Archaic round house. The
interpretation thus far is that small groups of people were occupying the
terrace overlooking Chase Garden Creek for a few just a few days.
They appear to have been doing some hunting for birds, deer, and turtles,
and were processing some resource through the use of stone boiling
technology. What is really special about these sites is that they are
each relatively discreet and so they give us a good snapshot of maybe
just a few hours or a day or so spent at the creek.”
