England Wild Flower staff call landowners to get permission to send the PCVs to
the area.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>NEWF staff send previous
years’ field forms, maps, and directions to each PCV through a website.
Generally in groups of two or three, the PCVs then coordinate on their own a
time to meet and go out to find the population. After accurate identification,
they count up the plants, take photos and perhaps GPS points and write up notes
about the status of the population. One member then fills out a field form and
map and sends all the information back to The Society, where NEWF processes it
and sends the original materials to the State.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">

PCV. Once a PCV, you can connect with PCVs in other states on surveys as well.</font></div><font face="Times New Roman">
