</span></b><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Salt marshes are among the most ecologically and economically productive ecosystems on earth and serve as critical habitat for a host of important animals species including fishes, shellfish, and birds. In this workshop,
Mass Audubon's regional scientist Robert Buchsbaum will explain how this ecosystem works, relate its critical importance to human and wildlife communities, and discuss the threats to salt marshes on Cape Cod. An introduction indoors will be followed by a field
walk in the salt marsh where we will explore the phenomenon of salt marsh dieback, take a closer look at the soil and vegetation, and watch for birds and other wildlife.</span><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:red"><o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
