<div dir="ltr"><b>INVADERS! Media Art Expo</b><div>Larking Hall, Hiebert Marine Lab, 5 Holway Avenue, Provincetown<br><br>Media artists sam smiley and Bebe Beard, and music composer Lou Cohen, will present their music, video projections and research on invasive species in a 3-day expo that is free and open to the public.<br>
<br>sam smiley’s work will feature video projections of giant crabs, seaweed, and “most wanted” invasive species identification cards in data displays gone awry. Bebe Beard’s video sculptures will work with and against reclaimed Styrofoam and invented forms of papier mache to provide a human scaled vision of the causes and consequences of marine invasive species. Lou Cohen’s multi-sited music compositions will give the environment a voice. All of these pieces will come together to immerse the visitor within an imagined future of ecologies gone completely out of control. <br>
<br>The opening reception takes place this evening (Tuesday, June 18) from 6 - 8 pm. <div>Exhibition is open June 19 - 21 from 10 am to 4 pm.The artists will be present at the opening and through the length of the exhibit. <br>
