Throngs of migrating shorebirds stop to feed and rest on the productive mud flats and marshes and late July is the peak of activity. The identification of sandpipers, dowitchers, yellowlegs, godwits, plovers, and other species will be the focus, but along the way we will learn about shorebird migration, behavior, and breeding biology. We’ll also take a peek at the tern species! A tour of South Beach in Chatham, Coast Guard Beach in Eastham, and Nauset Marsh in Orleans; and dinner on the first evening are included.

About the Instructor: David Clapp is an ornithologist and general naturalist with training in biology and science education.
