a MITS Summer Institute educators at MITS partner institutions work together to
offer a professional development opportunity that combines the experience of
participating in both content and skill development sessions taught by
professional educators, scientists and other content experts. Daily activities
include: sampling trips aboard research vessels, behind-the-scenes tours of
facilities, introductions to resource centers, participation in simulations,
modeling of inquiry-based activities, and more. Days include a balance of
indoor, classroom-based components and outdoor, field <span style="font-family:
"Cambria","serif"">experiences. All the activities are linked to State
Frameworks. Earn PDPs or Graduate credit.</span></p>
