<DIV>Rachel Carson was one of the great environmentalists of the 20th
century.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Every year, "Ray" Carson is remembered during the annual Rachel
Carson Harvest Dinner in Falmouth.</DIV>
<DIV>This year, she is being honored by a series of events in February and
March. Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the
publication of the book "Silent Spring." More events are
anticipated.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>A presentation about the spirituality and ethics of Rachel Carson
will take place on Wednesday night, February 16th, at the Unitarian Universalist
church in Falmouth. The event is free and it's open to the public.
The main speaker will be Robert Murphy, who is a Unitarian Universalist
minister who has been active with the Sierra Club for forty
years. Rev. Murphy has graduate degrees from both Harvard
Divinity School and the Boston University School of Public Health.</DIV>
