Please read the PR below and sign up, we need a few more volunteers.</div><div><br class="webkit-block-placeholder"></div><div>Alison Robb</div><div><br class="webkit-block-placeholder"></div><div><br class="webkit-block-placeholder"></div><div><br class="webkit-block-placeholder"></div><div><!--StartFragment--> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:18.0pt;font-family:Palatino; color:black">Volunteers Wanted for Bird Survey</span><span style="font-family: Palatino;color:black"><b><o:p></o:p></b></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black"><b> <o:p></o:p></b></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black">Nature's Circle will lead a section of the annual Cape Cod Lake and Pond Waterfowl Survey on Sunday, December 5th, 2010.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The survey covers all ponds and lakes on Cape Cod, with dozens of teams, all on the same weekend.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>It is a wonderful way to spend a winter Sunday and we need volunteers, experienced or not.<o:p></o:p></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black">This Falmouth team will visit twelve sites, from<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Little<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Sippewissett Marsh on Buzzards Bay, Morse Pond, Nye Pond,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Childs River, Moonakis River and ponds near Waquoit Bay.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>We can expect to see Hooded Mergansers, Ring-necked Ducks, Goldeneyes, Great Blue Herons, Pintails, Buffleheads, Eiders and many others.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black">We shall start at 9 am at Woodneck Beach off Sippewissett Road and finish around 3 pm in Waquoit, so participants should bring a lunch, binoculars, ‘scope if you have it, a sense of adventure, and wear very warm clothes.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>It is a great day outdoors and you'll see ponds you never knew were there !<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>There is not much walking, mostly short walks and searching through spotting ‘scopes, driving between sites and<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>we can carpool.<o:p></o:p></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black"> <o:p></o:p></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Palatino;color:black">This will be the 12th year Nature’s Circle with the help of many volunteers has counted waterfowl across Falmouth early in December.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>To sign up call Nature's Circle, 508-564-4331, or email:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><a href="mailto:nature@cape.com">nature@cape.com</a>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></div> <!--EndFragment--> </div></body></html>
