Butterfly Count will start from the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in
Brewster at 9 am and continue until 4 pm.
Join us for the annual day-long Brewster Butterfly Count, run by
the North American Butterfly Association (NABA). There are counts in July all
over North America, accessible by going online to www.naba.org
We welcome participants who can help identify butterflies as
well as newcomers who can start on a new, exciting adventure, much like bird
watching.
Butterflies are not only beautiful and interesting, but also
important pollinators.
Bring a lunch, binoculars, proper clothing, a butterfly guide if
you have one, and be prepared to have a good time as well as making an
important contribution to the scientific database. We shall carpool in teams to
many sites.
Please call the Museum at 508-896-3867 to register for the count.
