style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Exploring Cranberries</B>, a web-based
curriculum, which is free.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Please
consider joining us for a one day teacher workshop, being held in Foxboro,
Plympton and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Sandwich</st1:City>,
<st1:State w:st="on">Massachusetts</st1:State></st1:place>, with three<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Saturdays to choose from: May
1<SUP>st</SUP>, May 15<SUP>th</SUP> and May 22<SUP>nd</SUP> from 7:30 am to
4pm.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The Cape Cod Cranberry
Growers’ Association is proud to offer this new curriculum entitled <B
style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Exploring Cranberries</B>.<SPAN

registration and the necessary information related to various locations that
this curriculum is being offered. There will be 10 PDP’s award.</SPAN><SPAN

Association took careful consideration to ensure that significant values would
be gained by the students when implementing this new curriculum to your

standards, state and federal requirements through implementing 21<SUP>st</SUP>

meeting curriculum requirements and educational standards. <SPAN

style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Exploring Cranberries</B> offers educators
the opportunity to help their students not only meet particular learning
standards and curriculum goals, but also to connect to the science, the
heritage, and the history of an important, local agricultural system – the
cranberry bog.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Many of our students
in Southeastern Massachusetts and <st1:place w:st="on">Cape Cod</st1:place>
either live next to, or near by a cranberry bog. <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Often they drive by and witness the
various seasonal changes on the bog; families enjoy walking the cranberry bog
while enjoying its beautiful panorama and many students have a family member
that, in some way, is connected to cranberry agriculture. <B
style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Exploring Cranberries</B> not only brings
the cranberry bog to students, but also instills a rich appreciation and deeper
understanding of the cranberry bog as a thriving and vibrant ecosystem.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>All lessons are standards based and
integrated among different content strands.</SPAN><SPAN

lang=EN> engages students in the day to day life and decision making of a
cranberry grower. After learning about the cranberry, its history, its habitat
and eventually “adopting” their own bog, students are able to reflect upon
certain important farming practices and make critical decisions to manage their
bog effectively. </SPAN><SPAN

components of this free online curriculum and help them identify connections to
