<p class="MsoNormal"><big>The tenth Ponds in Peril workshop, the latest
in a
continuing series of informative workshops focusing on the
environmental health
of Cape Cod ponds, will take place on Wednesday, April 14, from 9:00 AM
to
12:00 PM at the Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors Conference
Center,
located at 22 Mid-Tech Drive<span style="color: red;"> </span>in West
Yarmouth.</big></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><big>The workshop is sponsored by the Association
to Preserve
Cape Cod, in cooperation with the Cape Cod Commission<span
style="color: red;"> </span>and
AmeriCorps Cape Cod.</big> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><big>Topics to be covered this year will include a
review of the
life histories of <st1:place w:st="on">Cape Cod</st1:place>’s
freshwater reptiles
and amphibians, and a discussion of current threats to their well-being
and
possible solutions. Other presentations include the use of Autonomous
Underwater Vehicles to monitor pond water quality, and an update on
Mystic Lake in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Barnstable</st1:City></st1:place>.</big><br>
