<DIV>What can environmentalists do to help countries like Haiti?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>On Wednesday night, February 17th, there will be a special
report on what has happened in the L'Acul area in Haiti.
Staff from the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole have worked in the
area for several years to help raise talapia. These farm fish
are needed to help feed local people.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Dr. Scott Lindell will speak at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday night, at the
Unitarian Universalist church in Falmouth. The church is
located at 840 Sandwich Road in East Falmouth. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Reports indicate that the average Haitian adult survives on a diet of
800-calories per day. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western
hemisphere. In Haiti, poverty is associated with environmental
damage and the environmental damage contributes to suffering in hundreds of
villages like L'Acul.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The Wednesday night program is free and open to the public. For
additional information, please call the church office. Telephone:
