On Thursday, September 24 from </span></font>10 am to 12 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will present <b><i><span style='font-weight:
bold;font-style:italic'>A Mushroom Safari Program with Lawrence Schuster</span></i></b>.
The program will take place at Nickerson State Park. Participants will
meet in the main parking lot. Fees of $5/Member and $7/Non-Member will be
collected at this site. <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>Reservations
are required</span></b> and must be made to the Museum staff (508-896-3867).<br>
<br>
Lawrence Schuster, a member of the Boston Mycological Club, will
provide an informative talk and guide participants in mushroom collecting.
Mushrooms play an essential role in the ecosystem as decomposers or as
pathogens for some trees.Come and learn about the major groups of mushrooms,
field identification, where and when to collect them, and tools for foraging.<br>
<br>
Participants need to wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes and warm
clothes and bring rain gear, insect repellent, sunscreen and a paper bag for
specimens.<br>
<br>
The Mushroom Safari Program will take place rain or shine.<br>
