Thursday, February 5 at 2 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster
will present a Book Discussion Wild America: What State Is It In?
Free to the public.
Wild America by Roger Tory Peterson is his
description of the trip taken with his friend, James Fisher, to American coastal
wilderness areas in 1955. Peterson is known as the ‘Father of Modern Birding’
through his guidebooks that made birding possible for amateur birders. Return
to Wild America by Scott Weidensaul, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, takes us on
the very same trip 50 years later.
This
event is being held in conjunction with the Library’s exhibit on Roger Tory
Peterson and his books.
For a
lively discussion facilitated by Sue Marcus do join us in the Clarence Hay
Library. Return to Wild America is available at the Museum Gift Shop, the
Brewster Book Store and other local book
stores.
If
you haven’t read the books, come anyway!

For further
