Dr. Frumhoff will present the findings of the Northeast Climate Impacts
Assessment (NECIA), a 3-year collaboration between the Union of Concerned
Scientists (UCS) and a multi-disciplinary team of more than 50 independent
scientists and economists from across the region. The talk will highlight the
projected impacts of climate change on </span></font><font size=2 face=Verdana><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana'>Cape Cod</span></font><font
size=2 face=Verdana><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana'>'s
natural resources, public health, and economy and highlight how the energy
choices we make today - in local communities and across the nation - will
greatly determine the climate that our children and grandchildren will inherit.

direct questions to the panel, which will also include Dr. Frumhoff and will be

<p><font size=2 face=Verdana><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana'>Peter
C. Frumhoff is Chief Scientist of the UCS Climate Campaign and the Chair of the
Northeast Climate Impacts Assessment. He has published and lectured widely on
topics including climate change impacts, climate science and policy, tropical
forest conservation and management, and biological diversity. He is a lead
author of the Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change<br>
(IPCC) and was previously a lead author of the IPCC Special Report on Land Use,
Land-use Change and Forestry. He has taught at Fletcher School of Law and
