April 25<sup>th,</sup> the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve will
be hosting the Cape Friendly Landscaping and Gardening Workshop at the </span></font><font

face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'> </span></font><font
face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'>Center</span></font><font
face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'> from </span></font><font face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'>8:30am</span></font><font
face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'> to </span></font><font face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'>3:00pm</span></font><font
face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'>. The course will highlight
ecological landscaping and organic gardening tips and techniques for
homeowners, garden club members and anyone interested in the natural habitat. The
new section on organic gardening has been added this year to satisfy the well
spring of interest in local food. The day will feature a locally grown lunch
from Coonemessett Farm.</span></font></p>

Talbot, President, Michael Talbot Associates will share his expertise on safer
ways to care for your trees, shrubs and flowers using less irrigation and
little or no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Michael </span></font>has
been developing, practicing, and teaching design, landscaping, tree, shrub and
lawn care methods for private and public landscapes for nearly two
decades--including work as staff horticulturist and educator for the
Massachusetts Horticultural Society and Boston Urban Gardeners. An I.S.A.
Certified Arborist, he is a well-known author and lecturer, teaching
professionals, homeowners and garden clubs throughout the region. He has
appeared on many radio and television programs, including The Victory Garden
and New England Chronicle, sharing his expertise on ecological landscape care.</p>

specializing in organic lawns. </span></font></p>

Massachusetts</span></font><font face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'>,
was the Garden Manager at New Alchemy Institute in the 1980s. Stan recently
returned from a few years growing his own food in </span></font><font

face=Garamond><span style='font-family:Garamond'> to start a Community
Supported Agriculture program at Coonemessett Farm in Hatchville. </span></font></p>

resources available as well as lead an optional walk around the Reserve estate
grounds to point out native plants readily available as well some invasive
