Friends of CCMNH monthly meeting will be held on<b> </b>Tuesday, May 13,
2008<b> </b>at 1:00pm, followed by the<b> </b>program<b>, Fatal Forecast:
An Incredible True Tale of Disaster and Survival at Sea, </b>a book
signing to follow,<b> </b>with award-winning author Michael J. Tougias<b>
at 1:30. <br>

</b>Award-winning author Michael Tougias will give a narrated slide
presentation based on his book <i>Fatal Forecast: An Incredible True Tale
of Disaster and Survival at Sea</i>. Using photos taken during the
height of the storm, the rescue, and the grueling work of offshore
lobster fishing, Tougias will put the audience with the men on their
boats during one of the most explosive storms ever to hit George's
Bank.<br>
<br>
Tougias is a lecturer and award-winning author of 17 books, <i>Fatal
Forecast</i> was praised by the LA Times as “a breathtaking book, Tougias
weaves a marvelous and terrifying yarn”. On a lighter note, Tougias
chronicled his misadventures at his remote cabin in VT in his book
<i>There’s A Porcupine In My Outhouse: Misadventures of a Mountain Man
Wanna-be</i>, which won the Independent Publishers Association Award for
the “The Best Nature Book of the Year.”<br>
