<DIV>FISHERIES MOVIE TO BE SHOWN AT CHURCH<BR><BR>Charles Darwin's 200th
birthday will be celebrated on February 12, 2009. The
Unitarian Universalist church in Falmouth, on Cape Cod, is one of several
religious organizations with a special interest in Darwin and
evolution. Darwin events are being planned.</DIV>

<DIV>"Darwin's Nightmare" is a movie that will be shown at the Falmouth church
on Wednesday night, February 20, starting at 7:00 pm. Free
admission. All people invited.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The movie reports on conditions in Africa. Nile perch were introduced
into Lake Victoria during the 1950s to provide a "cash crop" for export to
Europe. What resulted was an ecological nightmare that introduced the
environmental justice concept to many people.</DIV>
<DIV>The lake environment was transformed to benefit some at the expense
of others.</DIV>

<DIV>A good movie for people interested in commercial fishing and related
issues.</DIV>

<DIV>The local Sierra Club will assist with the February 20th
presentation.</DIV>
