The National Sea Grant College Program has just announced the following
funding opportunities:<br>
<b><br>
Ballast Water Management Demonstration Program (<u>Technologies and
Practices</u>)</b><br>
This program supports projects to develop, test, and demonstrate
ballast water technologies and practices in order to reduce the threat
of introduction of aquatic invasive species to U.S. waters through the
discharge of ballast water. This opportunity is for projects dealing
with technologies and practices necessary for successful ballast water
management. For example, this could include technologies or practices
that treat ballast water, or that make it possible to test, evaluate,
regulate or use ballast water treatment technologies or practices.<br>

<li>Letters of Intent are due by 4:00 p.m., February 21, 2008

<li>Full proposals are due by 4:00 p.m., April 3, 2008 (open only to

<b>Ballast Water Management Demonstration Program (<u>RDTE Facility</u>)</b><br>
This program supports projects to develop, test, and demonstrate
ballast water technologies and practices in order to reduce the threat

the discharge of ballast water. THIS SOLICITATION IS ONLY FOR
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A RESEARCH,
DEVELOPMENT, TESTING AND EVALUATION (RDTE) FACILITY.<br>
