<P><STRONG><SPAN class=headline>Education Coordinator/Administrative
Assistant</SPAN><BR>Location: Barnstable, MA</STRONG></P>
<P><STRONG>Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary on Cape Cod seeks an enthusiastic
individual dedicated to the mission of Mass Audubon to assist with educational
programming, office management and outreach activities for our mid and upper
Cape sanctuaries.<BR><BR>Responsibilities will include:<BR>· Develop, plan,
schedule, market, coordinate and independently carry out specific on and
off-site programs for children and/or adults. <BR>· Develop and maintain
partnerships with local educational, cultural and community based institutions
and organizations. <BR>· Planning, production and distribution of interpretive
materials, informational brochures, program announcements and promotional
materials.<BR>· Various administrative tasks, including participating in program
budget development and implementation and overseeing program registration and
evaluation.<BR>· Support Director in management of volunteers and/or volunteer
educators.<BR>· Assist with planning and running special events.<BR><BR>This
position is a 20-hr/week position with the potential to grow to a 40hr/week
position year round.<BR></STRONG></P>
<P><STRONG>Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in biological or earth science,
environmental studies, education or equivalent. Experience as outdoor educator
or naturalist. Ability to design, market, implement, and evaluate environmental
education programs for a variety of age groups. Experience in managing
volunteers helpful. Familiarity with the region‘s ecology and natural history a
plus. Excellent people skills and enthusiasm for teaching. Well organized with
strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer literate including
familiarity with word processing, graphics, database and spreadsheet programs.
Ability to maintain accurate budget records and assist in developing budgets.
Willingness to work on weekends. Valid Massachusetts driver‘s
license.</STRONG></P>
