<P><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2><U>About SEA Semester: Oceans and
Climate<BR></U>SEA Semester: Oceans and Climate is a semester program for
undergraduate science students offering an in-depth study of the oceans' role in
the climate system, including courses in ocean science and public
policy<SPAN class=695391820-12102007>,</SPAN> and nautical
science. <SPAN class=695391820-12102007>Twenty-four s</SPAN>tudents
from around the country are living and studying on the SEA campus for six weeks,
in preparation for a six-week research cruise aboard <SPAN
class=695391820-12102007>the </SPAN>SEA sailing research vessel, SSV <EM>Robert
C. Seamans</EM>, from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Tahiti, French
Polynesia.<BR><BR>As part of the Oceans and Climate program, SEA welcomes three
Distinguished Lecturers who will present classroom lectures and labs, and
participate in research discussions with the students. In addition, each
scientist will give a research seminar that is open to the local scientific
community. </FONT></FONT></P>
