region of the Gulf of Maine and the largest coastal bay in the North Atlantic,
measuring about 603 square miles. "It is a state ocean sanctuary
deserving of continued study, protection and appreciation," said Theresa
Barbo, director of the Cape Cod Bay Ocean Sanctuary Program. "Asking
people to walk with us, and experience the coastal marine ecosystem, will help
bring awareness to how important it is to protect Cape Cod Bay," she

upon each other. We will also see examples of human interactions with this
