<DIV>GLOBAL WARMING EVENTS on MARCH 22nd and APRIL 14th</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Woods Hole residents - and all of the other people on Cape Cod - have good
reasons to be concerned about global warming. Many of us live
in areas that are exposed to coastal flooding... All of us will be
called upon to help if a major disaster strikes our area...</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>On Thursday, March 22, there will be a presentation about
global warming by Dr. Curtis Olsen. He is a research scientist with
many years of experience in researching the climate change issue... Some
of his findings are controversial. So be prepared for some
surprises... This program will start at 7:00 pm, at the Unitarian
Universalist church, at 840 Sandwich Road, in East Falmouth... Adrmission will
be free. All people are invited. The building is accessible for
people with disabilities.... Yes, there will be opportunities for
questions and answers.... For more information about the March 22nd
program, please contact Peter Crossley. Telephone: (508)
540-8545.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>On Saturday, April 14th, there will be hundreds of American rallies,
demonstrations, lectures, and other special events, in response to the global
warming problem.... Global warming events on Cape Cod are being
planned for Hyannis, Falmouth, Yarmouthport, and Chatham....
Other Cape Cod and islands events may be announced this month.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The Hyannis rally will focus special attention on the issues of social
justice and global warming.... Again, expect a bit of controversy and a
few surprises.... The Hyannis rally will start at the corner of Ocean and
South streets, near Hyannis Harbor, at 1:30 pm, on Saturday afternoon, April
14th... There will be a march to the Federated Church of Hyannis, at 320
Main Street, in Hyannis.... Religious and community groups are
working together to create the first "environmental justice and global warming"
gathering on Cape Cod.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>More information about April 14th activities will appear
in local newspapers in April. The Unitarian Universalist
church in Falmouth has information about some of the global warming</DIV>
<DIV>events on Cape Cod. Telephone: (508) 457-0449.</DIV>
