<DIV>ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>You are invited to an unusual meeting that will
focus attention on energy issues - including global warming -
and human rights in Massachusetts. This
meeting will take place on Saturday morning, February 3rd, in
Falmouth. It is sponsored by the Sierra Club's Cape Cod and
Islands Group with support from local community and religious groups.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The first question that we will ask is not, "How can we build a
better windmill?" </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The first question on February 3rd will be, "How can we provide all
people with adequate sources of energy that are safe, affordable, and
sustainable?" (A source of energy that destroys the
natural environment that sustains the community is not "safe" and it's probably
not "sustainable.")</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The goal is to bring environmental justice concerns into the energy policy
discussion.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The February 3rd meeting will present the national Sierra Club's energy
plan - including its response to global warming - and its work for environmental
justice. The Cape Cod Group's continuing work in supporting fuel
assistance and weatherization programs will be discussed. All
people are invited. Free admission. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The meeting will take place on Saturday morning, February 3rd,
starting at 10:00 am. It will be held at the Unitarian Universalist
church at 840 Sandwich Road in East Falmouth, on Cape Cod. The
building is easily accessible for people with disabilities. For
