<p><font size=4 face="Times New Roman">The Massachusetts Chapter of the
Sierra Club and the Cape Cod Group is sponsoring an ecological hike led
by biologist Chris Neill to explore the Lyman Reserve which is managed
by the Trustees of Reservations on the edge of Cape Cod, Saturday, October
22, 10 am – noon. </font>
<p><font size=4 face="Times New Roman">Walk along the restored Red Brook,
once bordered by cranberry bogs but now a thriving naturalized river that
contains one of the region's last populations of sea run brook trout. Learn
about the history of this spectacular 210-acre property and about the ecology
of Red Brook and its adjoining estuary. Those with binoculars may be treated
to some late fall migrant birds. Be prepared with boots to walk through

<p><font size=4 face="Times New Roman">From Route 25, get off at exit 2
(to Buzzards Bay, Bourne) just north of the Bourne Bridge on the Cape Cod
Canal. Bear right off ramp and take an immediate right onto Head of the
Bay Road. Follow for approximately three miles around the eastern and northern
shores of Buttermilk Bay. Parking lot entrance is about 250 feet beyond
Packard Street on right. </font>
<p><font size=4 face="Times New Roman">From the Cape or from the Bourne
Bridge, get on Route 6 (Cranberry Highway) going W. towards Wareham. After
about 2 miles (after crossing inlet to Buttermilk Bay), make a right on
Head of the Bay Road. The preserve parking area, with signs is about 5
minutes down Head of the Bay road, on left.</font>
