<pre>Greetings!
Just in time for the upcoming summer season, Sea Grant has a limited
supply of the following publications available at no charge:
<b>"These Dunes Aren't Made for Walking"</b>
Suitable for outdoor displays, these 11" x 14" coated posters describe
the importance of dunes as a first line of defense against ocean waves
and encourage beachgoers not to trample the dunes.
<b>"Rip Currents: Break the Grip of the Rip"</b>
Brochures are available that describe what a rip current is, how to
identify one, and what to do if you find yourself caught in one.
<b>
"Shark Sense"</b>
This brochure includes images and descriptions of sharks found in the
Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico, provides information on shark attacks
(and how to avoid them) and provides sources for additional information.
<b>"Seaweeds of the Northeast Coast of North America"</b>
This 17" x 22" poster, produced by the Northeast Algal Society, features
color photographs of seaweeds found in the Northeast and includes information
on their ecological and economic importance.
<b>"Zebra Mussel WATCH"</b>
Zebra mussels pose a multimillion dollar threat to Massachusetts' utilities
and industries because of their ability to clog water intake pipes. So far,
no zebra mussels have been found in Massachusetts, but they are close by in
Lake Champlain. Use this colorful card as a guide for identification and
instructions on what to do. Laminated card outlining what you can do to help
minimize the spread of these aquatic pests also included.
