efforts to restore bay scallop
populations in southern New England that will be held as part of the
Third
Annual Northeastern Aquaculture Conference and Exposition (NACE) to be
held
December 3-4 in Manchester, New Hampshire. <br>
</span></font><font size="3" color="#000000" face="Times New Roman"><span
style="font-size: 12pt;"><br>
The workshop, geared for coastal decision makers, researchers, NGOs,
students,
and members of the public, will feature four sessions: Case Studies,
Site Selection,
Monitoring and Assessment, and Community Involvement. </span></font><font
size="3" color="#000000" face="Times New Roman"><span
style="font-size: 12pt;">The workshop will also review past and
present regional restoration efforts, draw on experience from other
geographic
locations, and formally recommend a prioritized research agenda for the
region’s bay scallop restoration community. Furthermore, Dr. William
Arnold of the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg,
Florida, will provide a keynote talk on his extensive work on bay
scallop restoration entitled "Bay Scallop Population Restoration
Activities in Florida: Application and Assessment."</span></font><font
color="#000000"><span style="color: navy;"></span></font><font size="3"
color="#000000" face="Times New Roman"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br>
