"Ray" Carson was a marine biologist and nature writer who was identified with Woods Hole for many years. She may be best-known because of her book "Silent Spring."<BR>

The October 18 gathering will be a fundraiser to assist Falmouth's organic community garden and to support the community food pantries that help Bourne, Falmouth, Sandwich, and Mashpee Village. All of the money raised on October 18 will go to these non-profit programs. Everyone is invited to the Rachel Carson program. It's hoped that this will become an annual event for Cape Cod.<BR>
