contaminants biologist with expertise in environmental assessment, ecotoxicology, and restoration to join our team. Position responsibilities include providing technical assistance to Great Lakes Areas of Concern (AOCs) and conducting natural resource damages
assessment and restoration (NRDAR) activities throughout New York state. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and well organized, can work both cooperatively and independently, and is a creative problem-solver. The successful applicant will work
with and maintain relationships with Great Lakes AOC committees and the USEPA and apply expertise to address Beneficial Use Impairment removals and AOC de-listings. Duties will also include managing NRDAR cases currently in active assessment, restoration,
or restoration monitoring. The position requires working with others to assess injuries to natural resources from hazardous substances and oil, pursue NRDAR cases under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act and the Oil
Pollution Act, and plan and oversee restoration projects to address those injuries. </span></span><o:p></o:p></p>
