the conservation of these species. In addition, WCS is
poised to open the new Ocean Wonders exhibit as part
of the New York Aquarium. Goals of WCS Sharks and Rays
program are to: save shark and ray species from
extinction; transition fisheries to sustainability;
effectively control international trade; and reduce
demand for shark and ray products from unsustainable
sources. The WCS Sharks and Rays Program consists of
scientific research and monitoring; conservation
programs; policy reform at local, national and
multinational levels; and outreach and education. WCS
seeks an Associate Director to manage the Sharks and
Rays Program.</span>
<div><span style="font-size:10pt;">The Associate
Director manages the global WCS Sharks and Rays
Program, based in WCS's Global Conservation Program
headquarters located in the Bronx Zoo, NY. This is a
full-time position with benefits. The Associate
Director of the Sharks and Rays Program develops and
oversees the program's strategic direction, manages
the program activities in science, conservation and
policy, and coordinates shark and ray activities
throughout WCS, including with the New York
Aquarium. In addition to program management, overall
responsibilities include development and
fundraising, and communications and marketing,
relating to the Sharks and Rays Program, in
conjunction with relevant WCS departments. The
Associate Director supervises the Marine Policy
Advisor/Sharks and Rays Coordinator and will shape
additional staffing needs. With oversight and
coordination by the Associate Director,
administration and support for the Sharks and Rays
Program are provided by the Marine Program Manager

deliver planning expertise and knowledge to coastal
management projects. The incumbent will be responsible
for addressing coastal planning work through delivery

partners, engagement in statewide resilience
initiatives, interpretation of coastal hazards data
for local planning projects, and general program and
policy support. This position will work in
coordination with other Unit staff and adaptation

division, and disseminating findings through reports
and online data portals. BESP seeks to hire an air
quality and public health professional to join the Air
Quality and Climate Team. The Bureau uses air quality
and public health data to inform and improve local
environmental policy and provide the public
information on air quality exposures and their health
impacts. This exciting new position offers the
opportunity to lead research efforts that leverage the
large and unique air pollution and health datasets
managed by DOHMH to help shape the City's
environmental agenda. The candidate will work with
staff from the New York City Community Air Survey
(NYCCAS) and collaborate across multiple agencies in
conducting research and preparing analyses and
communications material related to the City's air
quality and climate change agenda. The environmental
health scientist will possess a mix of skills to
conduct quantitative environmental and public health
research, including interpretation of results with
policy implications, and ability to communicate

to the Coral Reefs, Sea Turtles, Fisheries Innovation

fish, shellfish, marine debris, and national stranding
networks. The Coordinator will also aid in the

the Cooperative Institute for Limnology and Ecosystems

to work on the human dimensions of harmful algal
blooms in the Great Lakes. The successful applicant
with work with a team of scientists at CILER and the
NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab (GLERL,</span><a

to perform primary research that extends biophysical
models of harmful algal blooms and their impacts on
nearshore water quality and hypoxia, with social
dimensions that predict human behavioral and economic
responses to HABs or their impact on coastal

successful candidate will oversee outreach and
stakeholder engagement efforts that facilitate the
co-design of research between </span><span>stakeholder
groups/ local water managers and scientists</span><span>,
