              <li>Description: <span>The Delaware Department of Natural
                  Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) is seeking
                  two energetic and qualified individuals to assist with
                  projects assessing the condition of wetlands and
                  collecting wetland monitoring data. This is a seasonal
                  position from approximately June through the end of
                  September (start and end dates are flexible).
                  Technicians will be an integral addition to a small
                  wetland monitoring and assessment team. Field work
                  will include site visits by foot and by boat in a
                  selected watershed as part of a field crew to collect
                  data on vegetation, soils, hydrology, and land use in
                  both tidal and non-tidal wetlands. The majority of
                  field work will be conducted in Delaware's Red Lion
                  watershed. Office work will involve entering data
                  using Excel and Access, creating maps and measurements
                  using ArcGIS, completing paperwork and calculations,
                  and coordinating field visits with team members. DNREC
                  is using information from these projects to report on
                  the condition of wetlands, gain a better understanding
                  of wetland functions, and prioritize wetland
                  restoration and protection efforts. Based on need,
                  there may be opportunities for assistance with public
                  outreach related projects. Time in the field will be
                  determined by weather, staffing availability, research
                  needs, and site access.</span></li>

                positioning the Center for Water Policy, the School of
                Freshwater Sciences, and University of

                  biogeochemical, and lower-trophic level projections
