Vision Summit including outreach, communications,
organization, design, as well as administrative and
fundraising efforts. This is an unpaid internship but
a travel stipend is available for interns who are

journalism, marketing or ocean policy to help work
with us with a strong emphasis on the marketing and
book talks for the paperback edition of </span><span>The
Golden Shore</span><span> </span></div>
<div><span style="font-size:10pt;">California's Love
Affair with the Sea </span><span
style="font-size:10pt;">written by Blue Frontier
Executive Director and author David Helvarg. Much
of the tour and related activities will involve
mobilizing citizens to take action to assure
California remains a world leader in Ocean
protection, restoration and exploration. </span><span
style="font-size:10pt;">Additional work will involve
outreach and communications to potential West Coast
participants in the 2017 Blue Vision Summit in
Washington D.C. May 9-11. This spring some 500
people from local, regional and national groups,
scientists, explorers and others will attend the
Summit that will include a Healthy Ocean citizen
lobby on Capitol Hill. This is one of the fist ocean
themed conferences to take place during the new
Trump administration and now, more than ever, we
need to work together to protect our blue planet.</span></div>

research and provide scientific support for a project
focused on capacity building in China through
collaborative marine research aimed at understanding
the status and evaluating the management of Chinese
marine resources. Working closely with both UCSB and
Chinese collaborators, the researcher will develop of a
user-friendly generalized tool (i.e., a
management strategy evaluation framework) to
quantitatively assess the impacts of changes in fishery
management. This position will require travel to

<li>Description: The Annapolis Maritime Museum is seeking
contractual Education Instructors to lead a variety of
programs for learners ranging from Pre-K to 12<span

style="font-size:10pt;"> grade. Instructors will be
called upon to lead programs as needed and will work a
flexible schedule, choosing whichever dates and times
fit their own availability. The majority of these
programs will take place between 8:00am and 4:00pm on
weekdays in April and May of 2017; additional teaching
opportunities may be available in the summer and fall.
Education Instructors will be paid a fixed rate per
program with rates dependent on program length.</span>

style="font-size:10pt;">Facilitate and deliver
education programs including their set up and clean
up, lead a fun and welcoming educational experience
for children, maintain and organize program
materials, ensure children's safety, act as a role

least one year of undergraduate study towards a
degree in Biology, Environmental Studies, Education,
or related field, undergraduate degree in these or
similar fields preferred; teaching, camp, or child
care experience, experience educating in a field or
outdoor setting preferred; excellent verbal
communication skills, high energy, and enthusiasm;
willingness to work outside in all weather
conditions, ability to lift at least 25 pounds; must
pass a background check</span></div>
