                  National Estuarine Research Reserve's System-Wide
                  Monitoring Program (SWMP) including water quality and
                  meteorological components, and others as they develop.
                  This includes collecting and organizing environmental
                  data, organizing data documentation and carrying out
                  Quality Assurance/Quality Control, providing the data
                  to the NERR System's Central Data Management Office,
                  and summarizing the data for Reserve education staff,
                  researchers, and the public. The SWMP Coordinator
                  collects, compiles, analyses, and reports on water
                  quality trends and plans monitoring projects and will
                  engage in the community of practice nationwide around
                  using R for SWMP data analysis. This position also
                  assists in tracking research conducted in the St.
                  Louis River estuary. The SWMP Coordinator will be
                  supervised by the Reserve Manager and work extensively
                  with the Reserve's Research Coordinator as well as
                  other staff.</span></li>

                position through the Greater Farallones Association and
                requires a commitment to 40 hours a week for all eight

                Fellows participate in the legislative process by

                Senate or House of Representatives. Typical duties
                include developing legislation, negotiating legislative
                compromises, writing speeches and briefing memos,
                meeting with constituents, and conducting background
                research. The AMS Congressional Science Fellow will join
                more than 200 AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellows
                to help shape federal policy.
                <div>Fellows must be US citizens and must complete all
                  requirements for their Ph.D. prior to the start of the
                  fellowship year, which runs from September 1, 2017
                  through August 31, 2018. Support includes a stipend
                  ($63,000), and assistance to cover moving, travel, and
                  health care expenses.</div>
