<li>Description: <span>CSS-Dynamac seeks a
mid-level Marine GIS Analyst with academic training in
Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial ecology,
marine biology, marine geology, or physical
oceanography for a full-time employment. </span><span>To
be considered for employment, applicants should have
demonstrated experience with conducting spatial
analysis or habitat mapping; <span>field mapping with
GIS, acoustic multibeam echosounders, and sidescan
sonar systems; and familiarity with the NOAA
Hydrographic Specifications and Deliverables (HSD).
The successful candidate </span>must be available
for travel three to four times a year to conduct
ship-based mapping missions for periods of two to
three weeks at a time. <span>The Marine GIS
Analyst will join the <a shape="rect">Biogeography
Branch</a>, an interdisciplinary science team </span><span>at
the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration's (NOAA) National Centers for Coastal
Ocean Science (NCCOS). The Branch specializes
in ecological studies that map, characterize,
assess, and model the spatial distributions and
movements of estuarine and marine organisms across
habitats throughout the United States and Island
Territories.</span></span></li>
