Salish Sea </li>
<li>Description: The SeaDoc Society is a science-based
marine conservation program of the UC Davis School of
Veterinary Medicine. We fund and conduct science and use
science to improve management and policy associated with
improving the health of the Salish Sea. We have worked
in this 17,000 sq. km. inland sea for the last 15 years
and are widely respected for being a provider of science
for improving decision making. We are primarily
privately funded and have an annual operating budget
ranging from US$600K to US$1Million. We are looking for
a full time Regional Director to help grow the program.
Ideally we would like a positive people-oriented person
that has a passion for the ocean and experience running
a research institute or non-profit organization. They
should have demonstrated success in fundraising and
management as well as a solid understanding of science
and the critical role it plays in conservation. </li>
