        The successful candidate will play an active role=20<br class="">
        in the day-to-day operation of our program and=20<br class="">
        lead the instruction for either the Introductory=20<br class="">
        Marine Biology or Introductory Oceanography=20<br class="">
        course.  He/she is expected foster an exciting=20<br class="">
        experiential learning environment for the=20<br class="">
        students on board, with appropriate field=20<br class="">
        sampling and experiments.  The instructor should=20<br class="">
        be creative and flexible in his/her approach to=20<br class="">
        teaching and incorporate program activities and=20<br class="">
        experiences into the course structure.<br class="">

        The successful candidate will be adaptable and=20<br class="">
        willing to work in the ever-changing=20<br class="">
        conditions=ADwith sometimes difficult weather=20<br class="">
        conditions=ADthat are characteristic of life at=20<br class="">
        sea.  He/she should be enthusiastic about=20<br class="">
        traveling to various locales and working with=20<br class="">
        different cultures and languages.<br class="">
        <br class="">
        REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:<br class="">
        <br class="">
        =B7         Master=92s degree in marine biology, oceanography or
        related=<br class="">
        field.<br class="">
        <br class="">
        =B7         Ability to teach a university-level=20<br class="">
        introductory course in marine biology or oceanography<br
          class="">
        <br class="">
        <br class="">
        PREFERRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:<br class="">
        <br class="">
        =B7         PhD in marine biology, oceanography or related
        field.<br class="">
        <br class="">
        =B7         Prior experience teaching, preferably in field
        sciences.<br class="">
        <br class="">
        =B7         Scientific diving experience and=20<br class="">
        Divemaster or Dive Instructor certification.<br class="">
        <br class="">
        =B7         Boating experience, especially on large vessels or
        sailing=<br class="">
        vessels<br class="">
        <br class="">
        Compensation is dependent on experience.  Room=20<br class="">
        and board, travel expenses and health insurance=20<br class="">
        are provided.  We are looking for somebody who=20<br class="">
        can commit for the fall 2015 semester, from early=20<br class="">
        September to mid-December.  There is also the=20<br class="">
        possibility of extending employment beyond that=20<br class="">
