is seeking a communications intern to work a
minimum of 24 hours per week during Spring
2015. The intern's primary responsibility
will be to assist the NMSF Communications
Coordinator with ongoing projects designed
to increase public engagement with national
marine sanctuaries.The major
responsibilities of the intern will include
1) </span><span>Monitoring and developing
content for NMSF's two active social media
accounts (Facebook and Twitter), and finding
new ways to engage and expand our audience
and 2) </span><span>Standing up a new
Pinterest account for NMSF, and developing a
plan to populate the account with content to
grow and engage our audience. </span><span>Based
on skills and interest, the intern may be
able to take on special projects. Examples

of this position will be advocating for
science-based integrated water management
approaches to improving water quality. Coastal
and ocean-related policy experience is also a
plus. Must have over five years of managerial

research findings and other scientific information
to the scientific community, the public and the
Maine commercial fishing industry. As a member of
the senior management team, the position is
responsible for managing the Bureau's budget, and
organizational planning processes within both the
Bureau and Department. </span></li>
