              Qualifications<br>
              Masters degree or minimum 5 years experience in
              disciplines related to law and natural resource management
              policy, with a preferred focus on inshore and offshore
              fisheries management. Ability to work with diverse array
              of stakeholders, including government, industry and
              communities. Knowledge of Fiji and broader Melanesian
              legal and policy systems for natural resource management
              and governance preferred. Must demonstrate strong verbal
              and written skills in English. Must be willing to travel
              and work at times in rural and remote areas.<br>

                establish the role of coastal processes for the station

                MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br>
                Cefas is seeking a highly-motivated coastal scientist to
                conduct research for our nuclear portfolio, the science
                base of which underpins applications to build and
                operate new nuclear power stations around the coast of
                the United Kingdom. It is an integrated programme of
                marine physical, chemical and biological science
                addressing issues ranging from the effects of
                construction, cooling water abstraction and
                thermo-chemical discharges on the marine environment, to
                advice on the siting of infrastructure and
                environmentally-derived operational risks. The coastal
                geomorphology and oceanography component of the
                portfolio considers how developments and associated
                coastal defences will impact the nearshore zone,
                including potential impacts on ecology, sediment
                transport and coastal configuration. It also examines
                changes to coastal processes and coastal morphology,
                including extreme events, over the station life-time
                (&gt; 100 years) in order to inform both design and the
                regulatory process.</span></p>
