Aquatics Division for the management of all state-owned

statistically evaluating data to assess aquatic ecological
functions. The scientist in this position works
cooperatively with other Division science and policy staff
to ensure that the state’s aquatic resources are managed in

<p class="ecxMsoNormal">The Oregon Coast Aquarium is currently
seeking an Education Program Coordinator. The coordinator
directs and oversees the development and implementation of
academic and public programs. This position is responsible
for fiscal management of education budgets, scheduling and
evaluation of education programs. The coordinator
supervises two education specialists as well as seasonal
interpretive staff and volunteers. The coordinator supports
the education specialists by teaching some programs
including onsite lab programs and week-long outreach
(including overnight travel).

<p class="ecxMsoNormal">The coordinator is responsible for
regularly updating Aquarium academic programs to include
pedagogical best practices, timely content, conservation
messages and technology. The coordinator works with the
Director of Education and the Education Manager to create a
future vision for all education programs at the Aquarium.</p>
<p class="ecxMsoNormal">Knowledge and experience in formal
education as well as informal education preferred.
Experience writing curriculum, goals, and objectives for
academic/formal education programs, and familiarity with
STEM pedagogy best practices are required. </p>
<p class="ecxMsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="ecxMsoNormal">Excellent oral, written and
interpersonal communication and organizational skills are
required. Graduation from a four-year college or university
with a degree in education or a closely related field is
required. A Master's degree in education or a closely
related field is desirable. At least two - three years
supervisory experience and a minimum of three years
experience in a position related to education programs in a
museum, zoo, or aquarium is required.

but not required.</p>

<p>The Youth Programs Coordinator is responsible for the
recruiting, interviewing, training, supervising,
recognizing, placing and evaluating youth volunteers. The
Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for the National
Ocean Sciences Bowl Team, the High School work study
program, and the High School job shadow program. He/she also
participates in the adult volunteer training program. Under
the general direction of the Volunteer Manager, the
incumbent develops and manages the Youth Volunteer Program,
Youth Shadow Program and the Work Experience Program.</p>

<p>A bachelor’s degree in education, natural science, or a
closely related field is required. A minimum of three years
experience in a position related to education, and/or
volunteer programs in a zoo and aquarium. At least two years
managing and working with youth programs required. Any
acceptable equivalent combination of education and
experience that demonstrates the background necessary to
perform the functions of the position may substitute for the
above. Ability to speak Spanish preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of and ability to use computers and standard,
commonly accepted computer programs is required, as well as
the ability to work under limited supervision, both
independently and in a team environment. The ability to gain

<p>The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Southeast Regional Marine
Program works across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia
and Florida to implement a diverse set of coastal and ocean
marine conservation strategies. Efforts include habitat
mapping, ocean planning, coastal policy, climate adaptation
and restoration. Our work is done through on-the-ground
projects within each state chapter and through partner

office. The assignment will focus on establishing a
