the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program in the NMFS Office of Habitat
Conservation, Habitat Protection Division.<BR><BR>The announcement is open from
Friday, March 25, 2011 to Thursday, March 31, 2011. The jobs are located in
Silver Spring, MD, and are being advertised as a Marine Habitat Management
Specialist, ZP-401-3. <BR><BR>

<LI>The incumbents will serve as a Marine Habitat Management Specialist of the
NOAA Habitat Protection Division, part of the NMFS. Responsibilities of the
positions include managing programs that enhance NOAA's mission to conserve
and manage our coastal and marine resources, which include healthy and
sustainable habitat that provides a range of benefits for abundant fish and
wildlife, commercial and recreational opportunities, and resilient coastal
communities that can withstand hurricanes, flooding, and other natural and
man-made threats.
<LI>The incumbents of this position will provide crucial advice on decisions
concerning a wide range of administrative and program policy and annual
budgets; works with coastal states, territories, commonwealths, federal
agencies, non-governmental organization (NGO's), and academia to implement the
Coral Reef Conservation Act.
<LI>The incumbents report to the Coral Team Supervisor, NOAA Habitat
Protection Division, at NOAA Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, and
provide information and support as required to all habitat conservation
