Hi all,

I'm not sure how reliable the Fastlane help desk is these days -
I recently got some information that turned out to be wrong. They
may also have given Donna the wrong information about the timing
for use of research.gov for all but collaborative proposals
starting March 26.

Just wanted to pass along my research.gov login experience today

I know that I have an NSF proposal coming up, so went to
research.gov this morning to log in and complete the PI
information verification - that went fine. I went to Prepare
& Submit Proposals and received the notice below. There seems
to be conflicting information out there about the timing of the
migration to the new system. Looks like we are still in the
system preview phase according to this, and that we don't submit
our proposals through research.gov yet.

If it is accurate, the attached timeline might be useful too.

I never expected this confusion from the same folks that brought
us fastlane!

Dear All -
Donna had a discussion with the Fastlane Helpdesk this morning, and it
seems that - as of today - we MUST now use Research.gov for NSF
submissions UNLESS they are collaborative proposals. And - as of this
morning - it is taking up to 30min for Research.gov to dump you back to
Fastlane to work on a collaborative.
Neither Donna nor I had received, or seen, a notice of this abrupt
change - sorry!
Best Regards,
Sheila
