processing in biological research. It will focus on the NIH-supported
image processing package, ImageJ, the community of users, developers and
associated projects that that have grown up around it, and current
development efforts to extend and enhance it.</p><p>About the speaker:</p><p>Grant Harris is a Scientific Informatics Analyst in the Cellular
Dynamics Program. For the last 10 years, he has been developing
instrument control and image processing software for live-cell imaging
using polarized light with with Dr. Rudolf Oldenbourg. Currently he is a
software designer on the <a href="http://ImageJDev.org">ImageJDev.org</a> project. Prior to coming to the
MBL, he ran a consulting practice focused on email, groupware, and
